Oddly enough we found ourselves at home last Sunday with time on our hands. What better way to spend the day, and drive me insane, than by making 'Human Being' biscuits. (The recipe is from a library book of Abbey's where a girl eats a dog biscuit and dreams she turns into a dog!)
The kids really got into the action and in no time were literally elbow deep in cookie dough.

Zac enjoyed mixing
Once the dough was made it needed to have a 'little sleep' in the fridge so Nathan and Abbey took the opportunity to head off on a canal side biking adventure.

Not only did they get to watch a canal boat going through a lock, Abbey actually got to open and close a lock all by herself. With all the excitement a quick stop for a cold drink (and hot chocolate for Abbey) was in order prior to heading home.
With the cookie dough well rested, cut and baked and another cook joining us (Angus from up the road) it was time to get creative. I tried not to look as the entire kitchen became coated in icing sugar and various types of sprinkles and amazingly some even made it onto the cookies themselves!
With the cookies complete the kids took to the trampoline and were joined by Angus' sisters, Darcy and Hebe for a 'friendly' game of something I like to call 'bash each other silly'.
