Tuesday 24th - Thursday 26th November
After months of waiting our removal finally arrived. It turned out not to be as bad as we thought it might be with all three days running smoothly. The international packers only forgot 3 pieces of tupperware (not bad given the amount they had to pack!!) They did however pack Abbey's dirty lunch box. The inventory for storage was pre-packed on Wednesday and uplifted on Thursday.
Our Queanbeyan hotel was a pleasant surprise with separate rooms for the kids. This would have worked out better for us if the kids actually stayed in the room together but as it was we all played musical beds and felt exhausted even before we got to the proper jet lag stage of our adventure. We ate out every night and must say that Sarah was a god send feeding us and dropping in snacks for the kids as well as helping out with our washing - thanks Sarah!
Abbey had an extra day at playschool this week so managed to come home three days in a row with a set of reindeer ears and a red nose. She finally got to sit at the 'special table' where the birthday kids usually sit to give all her friends a farewell chocolate.
Zac ended his school year with almost rock star status. His class threw him a surprise farewell party and when I picked him up he was signing autographs!
