Business Class

Our trip started out in style with a couple of glasses of Chandon in the Business Class lounge which may have ruined all future airport stays for us. The kids were only shushed once and spent most of the wait in Sydney eating so just as well it was all free. Nathan lived up to his reputation of always knowing someone by bumping into an Army Officer in the lounge.

A good omen for us was sighting Robbie Williams two people up in the customs queue though Zac did wonder what all the fuss was about. Robbie proved that you can travel in style, wearing bright orange track pants and yes, he is rather cute.

Our flight went as expected. Zac must have visited the toilets at least 80 times. Abbey managed to do all her sleeping before we got to Bangkok and spent the remaining 12 hours watching Dora and climbing over everyone. Must say though that the fact you could basically lie your chair flat, had TV on demand as well as a glass of baileys at 3am and lindt chocolates does make it a new flying experience. The smoked salmon meal option was also quite nice and the stewards were very kind to the kids bringing them extra things and making up fruit platters at all hours. We did an exercise in 'same same but different' in Bangkok being made to depart our plane, travel about 300 metres, pass through security, travel back 300 metres and get onto the same plane in the same seats. We felt like cattle and no one had much humor by that stage.

Despite a severe lack of sleep we landed safely only being told to shush once (probably same guy from lounge) but then discovered that Zac's bag had decided to see a bit more of Bangkok and join us at a later date.

Our lift at the airport was blessedly there and we made it to the hotel all in one piece even if minus one bit of luggage.
