Spring Free UK

One of our biggest regrets when moving to the UK was the selling of our trampoline. With the on set of spring weather (only joking, still feels like winter!) we decided it was time to get the kids out of the house and into the garden. Now, our backyard is a bog in the guise of green grass so a new trampoline was the only solution.

A major flaw in our planning was having the trampoline arrive in the one week that Nathan was out of action due to an extremely bad back. This left me holding the fort. To give Nathan credit he did a great job reading the instructions but was told to sit down by me every time he tried to assist. The whole thing proved a very, very, very, very frustrating not to mention emasculating experience for him.

Not to blow my own trumpet but I think I did a pretty good job. I was thankful for my Tae Kwondo training which gave me enough focus power to get the fibre glass rods into place (just kept telling myself this could not be any harder than breaking a board!)

The whole thing was worth it with the kids spending more time playing outside the house than any time since we arrived. We strategically placed the trampoline alongside our concrete 'patio' so no part of them would have to touch the bog. We only hope we are able to extricate the trampoline when we leave!
