Last Friday Nathan and I attended our first Ball in the UK. It was held as a fundraiser for the Help for Heroes campaign and luckily for us was held when my parents were here to babysit! Making the most of the opportunity we booked a hotel room in Bath and treated ourselves to pre-dinner drinks at a local bar. Now in the mood we dolled up and headed down the hill to the Roman Baths and Pump Room, the venue for the evening's activities.

On entry to the Baths we were directed down to the largest of the roman baths. For the sake of those of you who have not been there (and I highly recommend a visit) the floor is 'slightly' uneven and extremely hazardous to those of us not used to wearing heals. Needless to say one glass of champagne sufficed as I did not think it would be appropriate to fall in!! It was a simply amazing setting and we had the perfect evening weather to enjoy it.

Nathan is standing on a step!! No, really he is!

(Psss...don't tell anyone but my dress cost me £12 from Oxfam)

How amazing is this!

Navy boys - and apparently RAF boys don't' mind!

The dinner itself was a silver service affair in the Pump Rooms upstairs. It was a fantastic evening with Nathan and I carving up the dance floor after dinner and having quite literally a ball.

Obviously those dance lessons are still paying off. You have both represented the colonies very well.
