The Easter Bonnet Parade - 5th

It was that time of year again; oh joy! Time to roll up sleeves and get creative. Time to decorate the kitchen whilst attempting some Paper Mache. Time (just) to keep popping down to the shops for a couple more chickens please mum. Time to create “CHICKYWOOD”, the place where every self-respecting chicken goes if they want to make it big in the movies. Beneath the shadow of the famous “CHICKYWOOD” sign, the director calls the actors together for the opening scene of what promises to be the next blockbuster, “The Empty Nest”. It is a sad story so often repeated in nests throughout the country as the young chicks grow up, pack their bags and fly the coup. Ah, what a tearjerker this will be!

Silence please ladies and gentlemen, the chicken is about to enter the building!

In fine form on the catwalk
The Year 4 class perform some Easter poetry

And now, ladies and gentlemen, please put your hands together for the cutest little thing that ever strutted the catwalk……presenting the “Chicky Princess”. Yes folks, hard to believe that this was created with just a couple of chickens, some pink ribbon and a few paper bits and bobs.
Our little princess preparing for her time in the spot light
A natural really!
It was an Easter song for the Reception class
Just one more smile for the camera!

And now, here they are for their encore performance…I give you “CHICKYWOOD” and the “Chicky Princess”!!
