Day 7 Part 3: All the Rest

After our tour of the lake, it was time for a spot of shopping in town.  I picked up a very lovely dress and Abbey purchased herself a ‘Beaver’ puppet (we suspect it may actually be a marmot but will let this one slip).  We also found a fantastic tartiflette dish with the recipe engraved in it in French so will have fun translating when we get home.  By now we were all ready to head back to camp and hit pools so we made returned to a now very full car park satisfied with our day in Annecy.

We spent the afternoon either at the pool or with the kids playing in the park and had a small win, actually managing to get the kids to shower tonight!

After dinner the kids once more disappeared to the park but tonight we joined them there at 2100 to watch the evening’s “Fire Show”.  The show consisted of, in Abbey’s own words, “one hot French man with no shirt throwing fire sticks”.  In my words he was indeed on the “hot” side in his black fisherman’s trousers and sporting a tattoo of a fire-breathing dragon down the length of his back.  He was also quite limber with his fire sticks though Zac was a little disappointed he dropped it twice.  As he did then flick it back up with his foot I think we can forgive him!  It was indeed a different way to finish what had been a fantastic day.
